Held in Bern, the event will form a number of think tanks involving different stakeholders, such as administration representatives and politicians, industry players on the supplier side, industry players on the merchant side, university researchers and representatives from the academic world, as well as consumer associations and international institutions.

NetComm Suisse wishes to share ideas and positions on a number of topics crucial to the development of e-commerce in Switzerland.

  1. e-Regulation: consumer rights, contract law (eComm contract between merchant and consumer) data protection and privacy, VAT and fiscal issues, security and geoblocking
  2. Cross-border sales: import side (national purchases abroad), facilitating the export of merchant sales internationally and the EU Digital Single Market
  3. Online payments: 3D secure, debit/credit card costs (multilateral interchange fees) and interoperability (ensuring payments across all countries)
  4. eLogistics and customers: transparency in the offering, cross-border costs and exchange, standardising and normalising systems, border transparency
