Innovation in the Travel sector, the disruptive technologies driving change.

Tourism was one of the earliest sectors to embrace digitalisation. Today, digital channels a crucial part in the industry. According to the Netcomm Suisse Digital Consumer Behavior Study from 2017, 43% of Swiss online shoppers booked transportation tickets online, and 34% did so for their holidays, making the two categories part of the top 5 in Swiss e-Commerce. After revolutionising travel distribution, today digital technologies are reshaping other parts of the Travel industry value chain. Data analytics, machine learning, and conversational interfaces are putting the customer at the very centre of the business and are all aiming at offering a highly personalised travel experience to travellers.

Netcomm Suisse has decided to organise an Executive Workshop dedicated to the increasing personalisation opportunities in the travel sector enabled by the digital experience layer. The workshop will take place during the afternoon of April 8th 2019 at the Netcomm Suisse offices in Lugano.

We are very happy to announce that Fabio Cannavale, CEO of Lastminute Group, will be speaking during the half-day workshop. The agenda includes further three case studies from travel portals and emerging disruptors who will share their experience of rolling out personalised travel offers and the implementation of conversational interfaces.  

The Executive Workshop is an invitation-only event for maximum 15-20 executives who are involved in the implementation of digital initiatives for companies in the travel sector.
