The increasing relevance and volume of e-commerce presents a tremendous opportunity for stakeholders around the globe. As opposed to traditional forms of trade, e-commerce is relatively new and also harder to track and analyze. Providing metrics and data on e-commerce trends would allow stakeholders to better encourage, plan for, and react to changes and developments in the e-commerce realm, much as is currently done for traditional forms of trade.
