Given the health and opportunity of the Swiss online sales market, it did not come as much of a surprise to learn that the American e-Commerce colossus is gearing up to enter Switzerland, with product delivery to be handled by Swiss Post according to several newspaper reports. While their plans are yet to be officially announced, this would be a seismic moment for the home-grown online industry.
Feedback from NetComm Suisse Associates has been surprising, however: while some merchants are resolutely opposed to Amazon’s arrival, others see it as a great opportunity. Potential 24-hour deliveries on one hand vs. the chance to leverage the Amazon platform on the other - now, as an Association, we are asking you for your views: Amazon.ch – threat or opportunity?
Join us in Bern on the 16 th January 2018, where alongside Bern University of Applied Sciences, we invite you, e-Commerce merchants and stakeholders, both large and small, to give your opinions and views on the new online sales paradigm in Switzerland.
The event will include input from a number of think tanks about e-Commerce regulations, involving administration representatives and politicians, industry merchants and suppliers, university researchers as well as consumer associations and international institutions. However, above all, the event will be a forum for sharing your ideas and views, building an initial consensus and sharing that with regulators and authorities. This is the moment to make yourself heard.
Even if you do not wish to speak, but to enjoy the opportunity for networking, learning and discovering the latest data and trends, please register online by clicking here.
