Netcomm Suisse joined USI's Long Night of Careers

On November 14th, starting from 18:00, ten Swiss universities held the 2019 “Long Night of Careers”, a platform to dialogue between the academic world and workplaces. Netcomm Suisse was at the USI Lugano Campus, to explore and promote the newest careers in FashionTech. Fashion Brands indeed will soon develop and master AI technologies, VR, IoT and ultra-high-tech materials to keep up and foresee customers’ ever evolving needs, and they are constantly looking for new digital talents.

Netcomm Suisse President Carlo Terreni discussed the topic together with representatives from Bally, La Martina, Philipp Plein, Vans and 7 for all Mankind:

The evening started with the Welcome by the USI's Rector, Prof. Boas Erez, and by Marco Borradori, Major of the city of Lugano. The opening panel, moderated by Prof. Lorenzo Cantoni, explored how to make the best out of graduates in STEM and Humanities from the viewpoint of companies. Then there was a Job Gallery Walk, CV checks, workshops, round tables, mock interviews, contests, interactive games, food tasting and other initiatives to address the topic of professional careers.

Some of the companies involved in the evening are Accenture, Deloitte, Ikea, Philipp Plein, L’Oréal, Kering, VF Corporation and many more.
