Localising Websites of National Tourism Organisations

Localization is a well-established practice in the area of e-Commerce. With the globalization of tourism phenomena, destinations are employing this set of activities to adapt their communication for specific publics. The aim of the report “Localising Websites of National Tourism Organisations” is to provide an overview of such practices at the national level.


The report was prepared by Emanuele Mele, doctoral student in Communication Sciences at USI – Università della Svizzera italiana (Lugano, Switzerland) – and Dr. Lorenzo Cantoni, professor of Communication Sciences at USI, with the support of the European Travel Commission (ETC).
