The food sector is facing a new wave of innovation looming from new product developments to new distribution models. Physical stores, however, still play a crucial role. In this report, we uncover the grocery shopping preferences of Swiss consumers and in particular their acceptance of digital channels. We take a close look at their delivery preference and at potential barriers of online shopping. We further take a look at the acceptance of new sourcing models such as ‘meatless meat’.
